"Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn."
-Benjamin Franklin
As an instructional designer and e-Learning developer, I strive to create modules that are both interactive and directly relevant to an organization's goals. My belief is that a learner who has to critically think via interactive learning is more likely to retain knowledge and commit it to his/her long term memory which in turn leads to performance efficiency. I specialize in translating complex business problems into meaningful learning experiences by presenting information in a clear, step-by-step sequence.
My Approach: By closely collaborating with stakeholders and subject matter experts, I design and develop well crafted learning objectives that not only enhance skill development but also lead to measurable results and significant organizational growth. My work is driven by a deep understanding of adult learning principles and a commitment to building engaging, practical, and effective learning solutions that directly impact the bottom line.
My Background: My career began as an athletic trainer with stops as a health science teacher along the way and has now evolved into an instructional designer. I eventually realized that my passion was about the learning experience and the long term impact that it can have on learners. This realization led me to pursue formalized instructional design training with the Applied Instructional Design Academy (AIDA- a 9 month instructional design program) in which I acquired knowledge of visual design principles, adult learning theories, learning design frameworks, and e-learning technologies. Within each career, I have been well known for being an extremely hard worker who is constantly striving to improve upon my skills.
My Services:
Specializing in the design and development of customized e-Learning solutions, I utilize Articulate 360 Storyline, Articulate 360 Rise, and Canva to deliver:
