Process: By using the components of the ADDIE/SAM model, a needs analysis was conducted in order to identify the knowledge and skills needed to close specific learning gaps. I then developed the content by chunking it into manageable sections with interactive elements to reduce cognitive load and improve long term retention. After multiple rounds of feedback and revision on the Design Documents, Storyboards, and the Storyline module, a complete learning solution was crafted. The learning solution included assessments that align with Kirkpatrick's second and third levels to measure both what learners acquired and the training's impact on organizational objectives.
Audience: Newly hired nurses that are responsible for direct patient care at Parker Memorial Hospital (PMH) with varying levels of experience are the target audience.
Business Problem: Recently hired nurses, responsible for direct patient care are not fully adhering to PMH infection control protocols because they may not be familiar with the current evidence-based protocols for PMH. Therefore, there was a high rate of occurrence of hospital acquired infections at PMH.
Solution: The objectives of this module include demonstrating hand hygiene techniques according to hospital policy, applying proper selection, donning and doffing of PPE (personal protective equipment) in all patient care situations according to industry standards, and executing standardized disinfection procedures for general patient care equipment and high touch surface areas according to hospital policy. Through engagement in scenario-based learning and staff compliance checks for correct infection control techniques, the nurses will be able to ensure proper infection control which will in turn reduce the number of hospital acquired infections.

Process: I conducted a needs analysis as the first step of the ADDIE/SAM model to identify essential knowledge and skills needed to address learning gaps. The content was broken down into logical parts to match the course goals and make it easier to understand. Interactive components were purposefully crafted to enhance user involvement and improve the long term recall of knowledge. I crafted a comprehensive learning solution through a continuous process of development and feedback on the Design Document and the Rise module. To measure what learners acquired and its real world impact, the learning solution included assessments that aligned with Kirkpatrick's second and third levels of evaluation.
Audience: New fitness instructors with varying levels of fitness knowledge that are just learning how to lead group exercise classes are the target audience.
Business Problem: New fitness instructors are prioritizing their own workouts over client supervision, resulting in improper form, injuries, and decreased participation.
Solution: The objectives of this module focus on prioritizing client safety when leading group exercise classes. This includes demonstrating correct lifting form for basic exercises, identifying improper lifting techniques for basic exercises, providing cues to correct improper lifting techniques for basic exercises, and modifying lifting techniques for basic exercises. New fitness instructors can practice leading group exercise classes through scenario based assessments.
